Casual users can submit routine samples for analysis after discussing the analysis request with a BMSF analyst. Samples submitted this way must be accompanied by an Analysis Request Form.

Registered users can log on to the BMSF on-line booking system to view and make instrument bookings. Instument logs are kept in this system and are also accessible to users.

Registered users may also access resources related to the BMSF and mass spectrometry in general in a set of web pages via the "User Resources" link in the booking system. These resources include instrument operating procedures and sample preparation methods, OHS forms and procedures, educational material such as notes on the theory and practice of mass spectrometry etc.
